Regus opens in Casablanca, Rabat and Tangiers, Morocco

With the aim of reaching more businesses and entrepreneurs on the continent, Regus, the global leader in flexible workspaces, has added three more sites in Morocco, with brand-new offices in Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier increasing its coverage to 16 properties in the country.

Morocco has become a strategic market for International Workplace Group (IWG), the parent company of Regus, and in just three years has doubled the number of centres to meet the demands of local and international businesses who want to work smarter.

“We are proud to strengthen our presence in Morocco, where we’ve operated since 1997,” explains Tarek Abou-Zeinab, country manager of IWG Africa. “The co-working way Regus works attracts more and more local companies, with nearly 2,000 of them currently using our services. The use of shared workspaces contributes to boosting their turnover, thanks to the tailored support offered by our on-site teams.”

Morocco has become the continent’s leading branding country and the second largest growth market in Africa, after South Africa. Opened in the first quarter of 2019, the trio of new properties add to the 13 established centres in the country. Casablanca, Zenith, in the dynamic Sidi Maarouf district, is ten minutes’ walk from Casa Oasis train station and 20 minutes’ drive from Mohammed V international airport, making it a strategic and central location for business travellers.

In Rabat, Regus installed an ultra-modern office complex on the fifth floor of the Mahaj Hay Ryad centre on Annakhil Avenue, while in Tangier, the company secured a prime location in Ibn Batouta Mall, a shopping, entertainment and office complex close to United Nations Square, the Corniche and the marina. Many of the offices and workspaces have sea views and it’s a five-minute drive from Tangier train station and 20 km from the Tangier Free Zone.

"We are very happy to arrive in Tangier, the gateway to the African continent,” says Abou-Zeinab. “With the recent opening of the LGV Casablanca-Tangier and the rise of Tangier Med cargo port, we’re here to meet the needs of local customers who want flexible and immediately operational office space for their businesses. Already nearly 2,000 companies in Morocco are using our services, and our new centre at Ibn Batouta aims to exceed all expectations.”

The IWG group offer various flexible workspaces, including private offices, co-working space, meeting rooms and business lounges, and caters for any type of company from digital startups to global corporations. While focusing on the accessibility of the site and the quality of the buildings and offices, the spaces also provide a variety of turnkey services, including mail management, telephone services, meeting rooms and access to broadband, enabling companies to work better. The centres’ on-site teams welcome clients in several languages, including French, English and Arabic, and ensure functional operation of all the sites.

Now with a presence in 20 African countries and some 3,300 sites worldwide, Regus gives its members access to a community of 2.5 million customers and partners around the world.
