The leading flexspace provider cements its presence in the New York tri-state area
The New York metro area is a commercial center that extends to a much larger region than just the five boroughs of New York City. In fact, this regional economy is the largest in the US, and many multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies have their headquarters here or maintain important regional offices. So much business is concentrated here that, if the tri-state area was a country, it would have a GDP of nearly $2 trillion.
Therefore Regus has a strong presence not just in the city itself but also in the surrounding suburbs – and its growing amount of flexible Long Island office space for rent and coworking spaces across the region. The company recently renewed its leases in Melville and Uniondale at RXR properties in Nassau County. Regus’ Long Island properties also expanded one of its leases in Melville and now occupies a full floor in a four-story building on Broadhollow Road. It now has a total of 87,200sq ft in Class A and Class B buildings located along Long Island’s main business corridors near main highways and railroad stations, providing easy access to midtown Manhattan, the rest of the city, and Long Island.
“As workers continue to migrate to suburban markets and away from larger metros, the presence of Regus will continue to grow in these areas as well,” Michael Berretta, VP of Network Development at IWG, owner of Regus, told Real Estate Weekly. “With over 100 locations in the tri-state area, suburban growth is something that will continue to be a priority for the entire IWG network.”
The Melville buildings are just two miles away from each other and the Broadhollow Road space is the right entry spot for Regus to kickstart its enterprise business. All three Long Island office properties are near excellent hotels, restaurants, and retail stores, providing existing customers with the services they want and giving prospective clients the type of extras they are looking for in a shared workspace community. Additionally, the buildings have on-site cafes, a variety of conference rooms, and parking available.
As a leader in the flexible and coworking office space, Regus is continuing to invest and expand its products in secondary markets and suburban regions around the country. As more spaces are added to the inventory, these locations will allow existing customers more flexibility and new customers a larger network to tap into.
