Overview

The Marseille Les Docks Centre occupies the fifth floor of a building renovated as part of the Les Docks project to redevelop the historic harbour, transforming warehouses into offices and the La Joliette area into a thriving business district. Marseille is France's largest commercial port and will be European Capital of Culture in 2013. The area is attracting many leading companies in addition to the city's traditional shipbuilding, textile and metal industries. Landmark developments include the 147m high CMA CGM Tower, the headquarters of the world's third largest container shipping company, the Euromed Center and Les Quais d'Arenc commercial complexes and a large shopping mall. The centre enjoys sea views and easy access to main road routes, the St Charles train station and Marseille-Provence International Airport.
