A report from Savills in the first half of 2022 saw continued strength in the central London office market, in particular for smaller companies.

The growing preference for fitted space amongst smaller occupiers has been driven by cost, convenience and competition from serviced office offerings. This has resulted in landlord-fitted space, accounting for 32% of sub 10,000 sq ft new leases that were completed in the city during H1.

By November 2022 a report from Central London Forward noted that occupiers wanted “flexible, sustainable, high-quality spaces that accommodate a wide range of working tasks… Central London’s attractiveness both as a global centre and as a place to visit and to live… is fundamental to keeping offices attractive.”
