About this center
The Downtown Center is located in the heart of Mountain View, one of the cities that make up the world-famous Silicon Valley. It features a beautifully landscaped courtyard around a sculpure. Close to Highways 85, 237, and 101, this center is ideal for those traveling to and from Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and San Jose – in fact, anywhere in the Bay Area. Mountain View is home to many high technology companies, but is perhaps best known for being the home of NASA and Google. Google's headquarters, called the Googleplex, is here and the company is the city’s biggest employer, followed some way behind by Microsoft and The El Camino hospital. Nearby Sunnyvale is the base for even more hi-tech firms; however, there are also several aerospace/defense companies – for example, Lockheed Martin has a major facility in Sunnyvale.
