About this center
The Paris Invalides Centre is located in an important political district, close to the French National Assembly, the headquarters of UNESCO and key political parties, and principal government departments, including the ministries of defence, education, transport and health. There are also a number of embassies nearby, and the Hotel des Invalides containing Napoleon’s tomb. The centre occupies two floors of a stone building that was previously the head office of France Telecom and is topped with what is called locally ‘telegraph tower’. It has been renovated to meet high environmental quality building standards and is designed around a central courtyard. There are national utilities organisations and technical institutes are on the same street. The building is has 24-hour CCTV security, a restaurant and underground parking.
