Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, continues to expand and is opening their 55th location in the Tristate area. The company has 1,200 locations in 550 cities and 95 countries.
The Regus concept includes a multitude of options – from fully serviced office space to a “virtual office” (prestigious address and select office support) to access to the WiFi equipped business lounges in every Regus center. This model of flexible working is gaining momentum as it has shown to improve work-life balance and employee productivity while driving down costs for businesses.
“Our opening at 57 West 57th Street is yet another milestone in the company’s commitment to adjust and grow to fulfill the needs of a shifting business market, says Guillermo Rotman, CEO Regus Americas. “Regus has led the conversation around workplace flexibility for over two decades and has developed products and services for every type of business – from the Fortune 500 to the start-up.”
The 57 West 57th Street Regus center occupies the third and fourth floor of a stylish Art Deco building situated two blocks from Central Park and a block from Avenue of the Americas; it’s also a short stroll over to Carnegie Hall.
In addition to 57 West 57th Street, Regus clients can find 27 centers throughout Manhattan – from Wall Street to Midtown to Tribeca, as well as in the growing suburbs like Long Island, Westchester (new White Plains location due later this summer), Northern New Jersey and Southern Connecticut.
Regus’ CEO and Founder, Mark Dixon, realized the need for a professional and flexible workplace. In 1988, long before laptops and WiFi, Dixon, an entrepreneur and relentless business traveller, was working at a windy café table in St. Catherine’s Square in Brussels. The less than ideal working conditions and the availability of empty office space in the city was the inspiration to create the flexible workspace company now known as Regus.
Regus also maintains unique partnerships including Start Up America, major domestic airlines and top chain hotels to help entrepreneurs get started, small-to-large businesses grow and business travellers to stay productive on the road.
